Hey crew,

13 years ago I wrote you from an internet cafe in Christchurch New Zealand and shared a plan to ride a bicycle around the country. I rode that bike. You were there. Then I traversed the world. You were there for that too. I want to express gratitude that our paths crossed and that we stayed in touch as we have.

Writing this list has been about the most consistent thing I’ve done as an adult. It seems it has been a self-maturing act. I feel I developed my voice without ever standing behind a microphone or speaking to a crowd. This my mic. You my crowd.

Before I share a message of what I’m about… let’s recap what has happened since I last checked in. Last time I wrote, I offered a permaculture workshop in Portland Oregon. First day about 9 folks showed up. I shared raps… a few stanzas into the first rap… silence. They weren’t into it. Too many words, too fast…

For the next few weeks, I paced the driveway, walking back and forth in a small space for literally hours a day, thinking about how to express myself. In this time, I narrowed my vision to the following:

  1. I want to create a sustainable farm and retreat center where I am staying.
  2. I want to connect with people who want to create a sustainable world.
  3. I need your help.

Here’s what I’m about (two and a half minute video):

Here’s where we can make this happen:

You will receive a gift in exchange for your donation.
I am grateful for your donation.

I’ll send an email in a few days sharing another video about the plan.
Peace fam
